This project updates and expands the Science Synthesis reports published in February 2002 as part of the accelerated science evaluation initiated by the Interim Science Coordinating Committee. The updated reports bring together the state of ozone science relevant to inventories, meteorology, photochemical modeling, and atmospheric chemistry. The reports set forth major research questions and priorities. In addition, the work to prepare these reports is used to prepare a strategic research plan relevant to the work of the Texas Environmental Research Consortium. The plan identifies key issues, examines the related activities of other organizations, and recommends areas of focus for the Consortium. The plan considers input from the research community and various stakeholders. The Science Advisory Committee finalizes the plan and makes recommendations to the TERC Board of Directors for plan adoption.
